A grinding machine is a machine tool used for grinding, which is a type of machining using an abrasive wheel as the cutting tool. Each grain of abrasive on the wheel's surface cuts a small chip from the work piece via shear deformation.

Our grinding department features a seven surface grinders, one Moore Jig Grinder to service your most exacting requirements. Our Jig Grinder is equipped with NASA CNC computer controls. These allow for shape grinding up to 9x16 inches with an absolute accuracy of ±.0001 over the entire range. These machines are used to produce some of the various gear tooling that we manufacture. With them, we can produce gears from as small as .110ø up to approximately 7” in diameter.

Dimensional and concentric precision is achieved by our grinding specialists using the latest grinding methods and technology. The programmable controls permit us to grind any diameter and nose configuration.
